Bodycurve Epilator
July 08

As a Remington fan of several years standing, I sincerely hope that the unit I received to review was duff.
I had anticipated that this rather cute pink and girlie unit would be an upgrade on the EP4000 (mint green) basic model which I had been using for the past year or so. With that in mind, I conducted the fairest of all consumer tests. I used the old unit on one leg and the new unit on the other.
The leg I epilated with the older unit was done in 20 minutes and I was happy with the result. The leg I attempted to epilate with this new unit took over an hour, and the battery ran out before the leg was even finished. Please note here that I am not even talking about 'leg' to include the knee, let alone the thigh.
The unit also comes with a shaver head, so I wondered if this might have been the design focus when they created this unit. I used it on my underarms and whilst the result was ok, it wasn't the close shave I get from a disposable razor. My friend kindly tried it on her leg and reported the same to be true. So the shaver bit is ok, but why you would want to use electricity to get a 'not as good as' result is a bit beyond me.
So to say I was disappointed would be a gross understatement. I was frustrated.
Would I recommend it to anyone? Only if I really didn't like them.
