Fudge Cordless Straightening Iron

Product: Fudge Cordless Straightening Iron

Styling your hair while travelling is annoying. If it’s not having room in your suitcase, it’s a lack of easy-to-reach plugs once you get there. Who wants to spend a romantic weekend with bad hair? The Fudge Cordless Straightening Iron can solve your holiday-hair problem easily. Advertised as a ‘handbag accessory’ for its small size, it’s also wireless, so even at home I am free to walk around the house, straightening my hair.

I like to figure out how much things weigh in comparison to other things so if you own an iPhone, pick it up now - that’s pretty close to the weight of my Fudge iron.

The Fudge really is a great travel iron and not just because it’s small. When you open up the box it comes with three different plugs, EU, UK and US, plus a rechargeable battery and that’s not all! If you own a car (which I don’t) you even get a cigarette lighter attachment so you can charge it up on the way. Great for roadtrips and for heading off to outdoor festivals.

Product: Fudge Cordless Straightening Iron The Fudge iron takes two hours (120 minutes) to charge and will give you 90 minutes of straightening time. With ceramic elements which take less than a minute to heat up, the Iron also gives you the option of 3 different temperatures – 150, 180 and 200 – all of which are colour coded if you happen to be using the Fudge iron in the dark.

Despite being wonderfully small, it does annoy me that I can't lock the iron shut after use. It’s fine at home, but if I’m rushing to leave a hotel room it means dropping a hot iron into my bag. It does come with a large elastic band to put over the end to keep it closed, but if you’re like me you’ll lose that in days.

The Fudge logo started rubbing off within a day of use. Not a huge problem in the scheme of things but a bit cheap.

The Fudge iron doesn’t straighten my hair as well as my current, larger and non-wireless iron does. My hair is quite fine so it’s not such a bit issue but if your hair is very thick, this is probably not the straightener for you.

So my final verdict? It’s cute, small enough for my handbag and I would definitely take it with me on my next holiday
