Back in my younger years, my father got very ill. Determined to help him, my mother started looking into alternative options including Magnetic Therapy. As my father’s health improved she then turned her attention to the rest of the family. By my mid 20’s I was well versed in the healing powers of magnets. That was a while ago and my mother has new interests now, but when the Rejuve Mask turned up at TTB I was intrigued. Magnets for vanity, not just for health? I had to give it a go.
The magnets inside the mask are concentric circle magnets. In the past this type of magnet was used for pain reduction and also had the added bonus of accelerating healing by improving circulation. The Rejuve Mask works in a similar way. The magnets aid circulation, thus perking up facial skin tone, diminishing puffy eyes and dark circles (my biggest concern) and reducing wrinkles - apparently. The big advantage to using magnets as a skin care product is that they will never run out or lose their strength.
The Rejuve Mask itself looks a bit like a pink iron man mask. Made of hypo-allergenic vinyl and filled with non-toxic liquid, the mask is designed to be worn lying down – for at least 3/ 4 hours a day. That’s achievable if you’re a single girl, but what if you share a bed? Would it be conducive to hugs and late-night sex? When I showed it to my other half the response was - ‘I’m going to sleep next to a cyborg? oh no’. Hmm..
Despite that, I threw myself into the trial with gusto, even allowing myself a few morning lie-ins to test the product. It
felt weird to put it on initially, cold and clunky. After an hour it had not only warmed up, but completely moulded to my face
and was very comfortable. I could have fallen asleep with it on – except every time I went to roll over, the weight of the mask woke me up. On the 3rd day of the trial I got a surprised ‘You look nice, very youthful!’ – Wow? Was it the mask? It seemed very sudden.
Possibly it was, but there was something else happening too. By making the effort to wear the mask every day, I was becoming
aware of other things in my routine. I was drinking more water, smoking less, remembering to wash my face at night and using
sunscreen. A bit like going to the gym and suddenly caring what you put in your mouth. I imagine all the extra rest and
relaxation was helping as well.
It’s been a couple of weeks and I’m still wearing the mask. It hasn’t managed to kill my love life and I think there’s been a definite improvement in my skin, so much so that I’ve now sent a link for this product to my mum! The hardest part of the Rejuve mask is finding the time to lie down for it. This mask would be great if you’re concerned about the toll the world is taking on your skin, if you’re not afraid of pink and if you’ve got a few hours spare each evening.
