Va j-j Visor Ladies Intimate
Area Protective Shield

Product: Va j-j Visor

When I was asked to trial and review a Va-j-j visor that was created to protects my 'lady bits' I thought I've got to see this!

I was handed a little clear bag holding 3 semi-flexible smooth feeling rubbery-plastic shaped thingys resembling little boats for lego people but in very non lego colours of bright pink, lime green and purple.

Va j-j VisorThe little leaflet states that the Va-j-j visor was created by women for women who want to safeguard their intimate area from a whole list of potentially harmful activities such as:
- sunbed tanning
- waxing
- shaving
- hair removal creams
- laser hair removal
- hygenic protection when trying on swim wear and lingerie
- to provide privacy and coverage while body piercing and tattooing.
Sorry, WHAT Body piercings and tattoos? How low down would that tattoo you are trying to hide from your parents have to be to require any more than pulling your knickers aside a little bit for the tattooist? Been there, done that and 9 years later I had the tattoo covered up with another more to my adult taste, so at no extra cost I am throwing in an extra bit of advice here: don’t do it!

And I seriously doubt that the lady going in for her 'foofie' to be bejewelled isnt too bothered about 'privacy and coverage'.

Nonetheless I went to the sunbed shop and dragged along my good friend to get another opinion on these Protectors of the Fanny. As an added bonus the resident beauty therapist was at reception so I whipped them out to show her. She managed to laugh and looked perplexed after I gave her the hard sell about how they could be used for waxing etc. She said she has seen more 'cookies' than all of us in the room put together (at that time it was a gay man, a lesbian, a straight married woman and the beauty therapist herself) and that she didnt see how this visor could possibly be one size fits all. She made another valid point that wax would stick to the visor which would then be yanked out with the every pull. So I offered her one of the visors to try (she picked the pink one! I wanted the pink one!) and my friend and I went to our cubicles to tan.

So I stripped off and followed the instructions:
- Raise one leg or squat slightly and spread the outer labia with your fingers. Fit the Va j-j Visor gently in place over your inner labia/clitoris and vaginal opening and fold your outer labia over the Va j-j Visor. It’s that easy!

Err, no its not that easy. It didnt fit all that well and was quite uncomfortable. I expected it to be softer and more pliable and I looked like I had a shrek fanny as I ended up with the lime green visor! I stood in that sunbed for only 7 minutes and all of that time I was checking it as it just felt wrong.

I waited for my friend to give her verdict before I influenced her with mine and she said it didn’t fit well, was uncomfortable, she couldn’t stand with her legs apart for 360 thigh tanning action so what was the point of it and the back end of the visor was sticking out at an odd angle and didn’t curve around well.

Va j-j VisorAt only £3.95 per set of 3 it is at least cheap which it would need to be as they are disposable.  But for me, the only really useful uses I can see for it is hair removal creams. I went through a cream phase and did find it hard not to get cream everywhere so would have appreciated this then, and as I plan to have IPL laser hair removal treatment as soon as I can afford it I would probebly look the Va-j-j visors online and order some then. So it has some uses, especially if you have children who like lego.
