This nifty little keyboard comes in a small, portable box. It is lightweight and literally contains just the keyboard as it is plug and play. The keyboard itself is a very compact 218x103mm and has 77 keys - no number pad on the side.
Despite the box saying it is only compatible up to Windows XP (this model is pre-Vista), I defied the box and plugged it into my Vista laptop as well for an extra test, after all one keyboard driver is much the same as another and I didn't expect a massive compatibility issue over a keyboard between operating versions. As I suspected, it worked just fine. Plug it in, wait less than a minute and it is fully functioning, so simple anyone could do it (unless you don't know where the USB port is of course!)
It is a nice keyboard, even smaller than my netbook one, and that is pretty small! It is therefore easier and therefore
quicker to type on than larger, full size keyboards where you have to stretch to reach each key. I have fairly large fingers
for a girl (thanks Dad!) but had no problem with the key sizes, in fact I found my fingers hurt less as
they weren't stretching so far to type. The keys are nice to type on with good pressure, and the quality is pretty standard
and good for a keyboard. For those who like a bit of colour, the Num Lock, Caps and Scroll Lock have funky blue
LEDs – very pretty!
This is a good option if you want to swap your large desktop keyboard for a smaller one if you are used to typing on smaller laptop/netbook keyboards or as a travel option for use on public computers if you don't want to use shared keyboards (have you tipped one upside down lately?!?!?).
