The Motormouse is awesome for several reasons. 1) Because its a wireless mouse in the shape of a car! 2) It comes in Pink! and 3) It has flashing lights and rubber wheels!
Really I could end my review there and be happy.
However you probably need to know more about the Motormouse.
The Motormouse is an incredibly sleek looking wireless mouse. Having the smallest USB receiver I'd ever seen, I just knew I'd lose that if I ever took it anywhere. Luckily the Motormouse comes with a very nice Travel Pouch which can carry the USB receiver, the Motormouse, and it even has a special slot for a couple of extra batteries.
Having only ever used small travel mice before, the Motormouse took a bit of getting used to. The left and right buttons are at the front headlights, and in the centre is a rather large scrolling wheel. If you leave the Motormouse standing for too long it will switch itself off and you'll have to click on the scrolling wheel to turn it back on. I did find the Motormouse quite large initially, but now that I've adjusted, it's very comfortable for my hand.
The Motormouse takes two AAA batteries which go into the boot. When the headlights start flashing it means the
batteries need changing. The Motormouse also comes with its own Motormouse Pad, which is the colour of tar and very
cool!
I was going to complain about the Motormouse lacking the sensitivitiy I've come to expect in a mouse. Upon perusing the Motormouse website however I discovered that the Motormouse has several different 'sensitivity settings'. Experimenting with them has definitely made the Motormouse much more pleasing for me to use. The Motormouse is compatible with PC, Windows, Vista and Mac.
I have to say this is the best mouse I have had in a long time! The day I received it I emailed a photo of the
Motormouse to several friends of mine, within minutes I had Motormouse-kidnapping threats!
There's no real point me scoring the Motormouse as you already know its a 10/10
Ed's Note - "We've just been advised that the Motormouse team are planning some new models for the Summer '10
(my turn to review them, I think!) However, it was also pointed out that this model has a boot that opens by sliding
it in a down direction, and reveals a little special boot space in which to slot the wireless receiver when you are
travelling!"
It just gets better!"
Motormouse is priced at £29.99 and available from www.motor-mouse.net.
