When Alex first placed the Logitech Wave Keyboard in front of me I wasn't impressed. After all I already had a keyboard - on my laptop! Of course now I'm so dependent on it that when forced to do without, I feel as though I've lost a limb.
For starters the Wave is more comfortable than a regular keyboard. Rather than being flat, the Wave is actually shaped like a small rolling wave, making it easier to place your fingers for typing. If you're lazy like me you'll also appreciate the pads on the base of the board to rest your palms. The board can be raised slightly, which would be a great help if you are unable to get the right balance between your chair and the desk.

The Wave can also do things that for me that my laptop can't. Along the left hand side and across the top are various silver buttons. I ignored these at first until Alex pulled me up, which I'm glad about now as they are the best thing about this unit. Rather than using the mouse to stack up my pages or to zoom in on websites, I now just lean over with my little finger and press a button. Magic! To access the buttons along the top I have to stretch my finger a little bit further, but once I've managed that, I can instantly access all of my photos, music, sound, videos, calculator and the desktop sidebar. All that's missing is the voice control so that I wouldn't have to move my fingers at all!
There is also a variety of function keys to open your calendar, word, excel, internet browser, mail, chat, etc, but I'm usually too busy fluffing around on Facebook to use them. However if you actually feel you'll do some work, all the information about these keys is on the Logitech website.
I'm rather pleased I had this keyboard forced onto me now. It looks good, it feels good, it has genuinely helped to make my computer access more efficient. Plus if I need to move around, the board is light enough to travel with me. This is an essential piece of equiment in my opinion.
