Portable Digital Photo Gallery
Dec 09

Let me begin by saying that I am genuinely not easily impressed by gadgets.
I am an admittedly fussy, indecisive, and fiercely practical shopper and consumer!
I always look at the price first and foremost and then I investigate exactly how many uses a gadget has. Next on the list
is the ‘life expectancy’ and durability, and then finally whether I may or may not actually lose any sleep
over it if I decided not to buy it!
So, are you building an awkward picture of me yet?
Good, well with that picture in mind (and it’s no coincidence that we are thinking in
‘picture’ terms here either) now try to imagine my shock and excitement as I am introduced to the
‘Album’ for the first time..
Something happened to me in that moment; something rather difficult to put into words, but it feels very close to -
dare I say it… ‘Love’.
Yes it is true, and it is impossible for me to neither hide nor deny, I am completely smitten with the
‘Album’.
It may not exactly be a totally original concept on the surface as there are already a few other variants out there on
the market, but in my opinion it is a marvelous work of technological art, and a sublime digital
beauty to behold, and in real cliché but honest terms - you really have to see it for yourself
to believe it.
Ok, now let me break down the vital stat’s of the ’Album’ for you so that you may begin to form some
rational idea of just how I have come to find myself in this present state of wonderful gadgetry delirium…
The Album has a 7 inch display screen with beautiful crystal clear quality to view your favourite photo’s -
storing up to 40,000 pictures to be exact!
Pictures can be downloaded or viewed on the Album directly from your digital camera, or SD memory card, USB flash
drives, or from your computer, and even from another Album, via a USB connection.
The Album comes with an adaptor plug too to ensure that you can still use your digital Album no matter what part of the
world you may be in or visiting.
A smart leather case doubles up as a display stand to add to the viewing experience.
The Album is light weight and slim line, perfect for carrying around in your bag when visiting friends and family to
show off your latest holiday or graduation pictures!
Have I convinced you yet?
Well, perhaps 4GB of memory, and around 3 hours of viewing after a full charge up, and basic navigation buttons for super
easy use; charge up - switch on - connect photo feed (e.g SD card or camera or USB connection) and start viewing, with
the option of slide-show too… might just help to sway you!
My only complaint about the Album is that unfortunately you cannot view videos on it, which is a big shame as
this would have made the retail price of £179.99 much less painful to bear!
But despite this, I will still happily award the Album a great 10/10 points!
Check out Play.com where they are available to buy online for £145.99
