Leg Master

Product: Leg Master

The Leg Master is a leg exerciser to be used at home by pretty much anyone (weight and a few other restrictions do apply). You put one foot on each platform and (using the handlebar for balance) squeeze your legs together, sweep them out, and squeeze them back together, and sweep them out, and… you get the idea. The idea is to continuously sweep, increasing the number you do by 1 every day. The instructions say to have a rest after 7 days and then continue at the number you got to, increasing by 1 every day. The instructions also come with a progress chart and when you finish the chart you add a weighted container to each side, repeat the progress chart again and then add another container. You can add 3 on each side in total.

I have to admit I had been putting off actually assembling the Leg Master for a while; I took the instructions out quite a few times but didn’t actually read them. I was also convinced it would never fit in my (very small) bedroom and so in the end took the whole thing to my partner’s house (not very small). Yet again I have learnt I should read instructions. Not only is the Leg Master incredibly easy to put together, the handle bar just pops out of the base and it can easily be stored under the bed or out of the way.

Product: Leg Master With the Leg Master up and ready to go I got into some fetching sports gear and put on my sweatband but I have to admit I thought it’d be really easy and not particularly helpful for training. I was shocked. It wasn’t easy, I had to concentrate on what I was doing, after about 10 sweeps I could already feel my muscles, after 20 I was struggling to keep going. It’s brilliant! I’ve used it for a few days and can feel my legs getting stronger. My biggest problem is working out the progress chart, it seems to jump to doing 1000 in a day which seems unrealistic, I’m clearly reading it wrong and will aim to just get to a point where I’m comfortable and then add more weights.

I spend a lot of my spare time running up buildings, through bogs and around cities, unfortunately I don’t actually do much training for these events as I don’t have enough time (or some other excuse) but the Leg Master is so easy to use, easily storable and actually seemingly helpful that I am going to stick to a regular regime from now on. I have been pleasantly surprised.
