Let me give you a bit of background here.
I'm somebody which has been suffering from back ache for the past 4 years.
I've tried almost anything available from traditional therapies to the most crazy things you could think of.
My pain is mainly caused by stress and by sitting for 12 hours in an office staring at 7 screens.
I've tried
- weekly deep tissue massages
- sleeping with a bite
- cupping
- acupuncture
- Alexander technique
- walking with MBT shoes
- personal training sessions
- osteopathy
- muscle relaxants
- pain killers
- magnetic therapy ( plasters, sleeping with them under the pillow, rotating vibrating magnets) and
- Chinese medicines.. That's not the entire list but it gives you an idea!
So you can sort of picture why I'm writing this review.. because if it works for me.. it should for everybody!
Ultralieve pro®, comes in a nice box, a silver device which attach to the mains, a tube of ultrasound gel, an
instruction manual and a handy pouch to keep everything tidy.
Set-Up and Start:
I removed magnets, rings, necklace and any metals on my body, plug it to the mains and I was ready to go.
Slide power to the On position, choose your treatment time ( 5, 10 or 15 minutes) and choose your power setting:
low medium and high.
Power and time of treatment are determined by the depth of you injury and by the time you had your pain - new or old
(acute or chronic).
Apply some gel either on the transducer head or on the area to be treated, apply some pressure and start moving the
Ultralieve® Pro in small circular movements.
How:
The device produces Ultrasonic waves which provide targeted pain relief, by penetrating deep into tissue and promoting healing of muscles, tendons and ligaments. Ultrasound reduces inflammation and increases blood flow, delivering more oxygen and nutrients to the site of the injury helping to promote healing and alleviate pain from aches, strains and muscle tension.
It can be used for a variety of symptoms from arthritis, to back pain, muscle tensions, sports injuries, even headache.
Results:
Yes.. I do injure myself quite often, so during my trial.. I had the pleasure to test its full capabilities.
It's New Year.. so the gym frenzy started.. and voila, agonizing muscle pains...
So I thought let's give it a go - 5 minutes of rotation on my calf.. and ready I was for a pain free day after. Perfect!
Then the weekend came and my dancing habits caused a sprained ankle.
Ten minutes of ultrasound in the comfort of my sofa and the swelling was gone!
I just needed an extra more day and one more treatment to be able to jump up an down again.
Then the real test - my back..
See the picture with all those read dots..
Well I have pain in about 80% of them, trigger points, muscles, you name it.
Here I discovered a design issue...
The cable is too short, leading to it unplugging easily. A small but definite annoyance! Perhaps the facility to run
it via rechargeable batteries could be considered?
Having an assistant helping you, makes it easier and more relaxing too.
Unfortunately I will not be writing to the Pope to add my case to the list of miracles, however my muscles feel less tense, my back is less painful and to my joy when I use it before going to bed my neck feels free in the morning and the excruciating pain only comes back after a couple of hours of work tension.
Should you try?
Definitely yes, especially because you get a 30 day, money back guarantee, so you have nothing to lose except your pain.
Should you buy it? YES.
It's the device that gave me the most relief out of everything I tried, including human hands and at the cost of just little more than an hours massage, it's well worth the price.
To get the most out of the Ultralieve® device, it is essential to use the gel in order to transmit the ultrasound waves and like anything good in life, it runs out. It can be purchased separately in 250ml bottles and it's reasonably priced especially because even by itself, it reduces aches and pains.
If you introduce a friend then you both receive a £20 shopping voucher or cheque, after they had the device for 8 weeks.
Available from www.ultralieve.co.uk and priced at £149.99
