Product: Mira Eco Shower Handset

I've been using the Chrome Mira Eco Shower Handset for a while. In fact I've been using it for so long that I had forgotten that I was supposed to be reviewing it. Yes its true, while I'm in the bathroom the last thing on my mind is writing reviews. I'm a bad person I know. Yet I have very nice showers.
So it appears that in the 3 months that I have been soaping myself under this shower head that I have had no complaints, and actually that is true. Compared to my last shower head, this one is bliss. But of course you never met my last shower head so you'll probably want more details right? *sigh*

This really is quite a nice shower head, and not just because I like it. This handset is an eco-friendly, donates-to-charity-while-reducing-your-water-bill shower. In short, even when you are not actually wet, this shower head is still fabulous. The Eco Shower has 3 settings, and according to Mira (who are the company behind the Eco Shower) those settings are also known as Aerating Modes. Aerating Modes are the things that save you money on water and help the environment. For those who are looking confused (and don't worry, cause I was too) Aerating involves pushing extra air through the shower head which makes the droplets bigger. When these bigger droplets hit your body they 'explode', thus spreading the water further than with other showers. Neat huh.

If the environment doesn't thrill you then the Aerating Modes make your shower better in other ways. If you want a nice soft shower you use Start, where the water comes out through the outer nozzles, so softening the impact against your skin. If you want a slightly stronger shower then you use the Soothe mode, where the droplets come out of the middle nozzles. If you want a Power Shower then you set the handset so that the water comes through the centre nozzles, thus creating the greatest pressure upon impact.

I am very impressed with the Eco Shower Handset, both for its performance and its awareness. It's especially nice as the whole company is environmentally aware. The shower head came to us packaged in 100% recyclable packaging and Mira have promised to donate £1 from every handset sold to support the WaterAid project (WaterAid.org).

If you're looking for a new shower head I would definitely recommend you keep this one in mind.
