A while ago we reviewed the simplehuman
soap dispenser. Not only did that product look good but we got amusing responses from people walking
into our bathroom. Little squeals of “Oh wow” could be heard at random times from our guests.
Eventually however we moved it in to the kitchen where it has served us very well ever since, dispensing anti-bacterial
cream to pacify Alex’s horror of germs.
This year simplehuman sent us the small, softer edged Spout Soap Pump. It looks
expensive – brushed steel and clear soap chamber (currently holding a rich blue hand gel) Being slightly
smaller than the previous device, this one fits on the basin in the bathroom far more unobtrusively. Thoughtfully
it also came supplied with two smart looking lid labels – Soap & Lotion. Setting it up is just too
easy – pop in 4 AA batteries, set the Soap Volume Dial (how much soap do you want it to dispense?) and you’re
ready to get your hands wet. For complete design genius they’ve even added a sensor on the
base – lift the gadget up to carry it from one room to another and no soap or lotion will accidently leak out.
Simple and effective – precisely what we’ve come to expect from simplehuman.
Would we recommend this gadget? Highly! If you know someone who is house proud and enjoys their gadgetry, this would make a unique gift – and a useful one at that.
