Being as fabulous as I am, I don’t read instructions.
I avoid it as all too often I find them difficult to understand and usually unnecessary. So I just rinsed the machine
out a couple of times and tried to use it.
I was delighted with the blue lighting when I turned it on.
It looked like a fast kettle that you didn't need to pour and you could serve the stored hot water at the press
of a button, like a conference/hotel water flask.
How wrong was I? I didn’t put the cup underneath so water went everywhere. Oops.
Then I read the instructions after turning it off and I was able to get the full great benefits. I learnt that the instructions were pretty simple to follow...
You MUST put a mug underneath as the water comes boiling automatically after a few seconds directly
to the mug below. It also stops automatically. It ONLY heats up enough water to perfectly make a cuppa.
That means that you save energy when you use it as it never heats more water than what you need.
It is ideal for single people or for families that wake up at different times. It is super quick.
I like the design. It's a mixture between a transparent kettle and a cappuccino maker. It makes a feature in my kitchen as everything else I have is white.
I would buy this even if it were slightly more expensive than any other fast kettle. I have checked online and it is within the middle price range of fast kettles. The deciding factor for me is that the Hot Cup is environmentally friendly.
With an RRP of £59.99, it's available from Amazon, Argos and the usual retail outlets
(Ed's note - we were hoping to bring you news on the advanced and newer model, however whilst we received information on that model, we were only given the opportunity to review the older model)
