Joseph Joseph Rinse & Chop

Product: Joseph Joseph Rinse & Chop

I was really taken with the Joseph Joseph Rinse & Chop board when I first saw it. I’m not much of a cook but I loved the fact that it had multi-uses, thus cutting down on the amount of items that need to be cleaned and stored away after food preparation. This is a chopping board which also allows me to rinse my food, easily transport my food from the bench to the stove, and then safely drain my food.

Product: Joseph Joseph Rinse & Chop My quite snazzy Rinse & Chop board is white, but if you’re all about colour, then it also comes in green, red and grey. The board is made of polypropylene, which makes it super strong and weightless. If plastic makes you worry about slippage, you’ll be pleased to know that there is a rubber grip around the edge of the board. The board itself feels lovely to the touch and isn’t too small either. Lain flat it is far bigger than your average Time Out magazine, yet still folds up to the size of an A4 page.

The Rinse & Chop board is essentially made up of 3 panels - The Top section containing the strainer and a keyhole for ‘locking’ the board and can also be used for hanging. A larger panel which creates one half of the ‘fold’, and a smaller panel which obviously creates the other half. After your food has been chopped on the board, the smaller panel is the one which needs to be folded in and ‘locked’ to the Top section. This movement thus traps the food into the fold allowing it to be transported or rinsed. If you need the food to stand for a moment, the fold also creates a ‘support’ for the board which allows you to set it down without risking spillage. Once your food is cooked, you can sit this board with the strainer facing downwards into a sink and then pour the contents of your pot into the fold.

Product: Joseph Joseph Rinse & Chop The Cleanup afterwards is as easy as wiping the Rinse & Chop with a cloth, rinsing it off or dropping it into a dishwasher. There aren’t too many bad things that I can say about this product, except that I wish it came with an extra set of hands to do the cooking for me.
