My first thought when I saw this phone was---gosh, that’s nice. I just loved the shiny off-white casing and the groovy green stripe. When I opened it up it gave the impression of light and bright with its bright green screen and large white numbers on black key pads. No need to find the glasses to use this phone. Absent also was the feeling of dread when I’m usually confronted with one of these mobile phones with their black or dark casing, tiny numbers and key pads. As an older person with failing eye sight I find great difficulty in seeing black, and dark colours on black are impossible to see.
The next problem was to remove the battery cover. I was surprised at how easy it was to remove.
I found the instruction book clear and informative and in large easy to read lettering. Everything from putting in
numbers to retrieving them, messaging and other functions are straight forward and easy to do.
During the night when my sleep was disturbed by a SMS call, I rolled over and went back to sleep. In the morning
there was a flashing light coming from the bench top. When I got up to investigate I found it was the phone, flashing
a reminder that a SMS had been sent. There is also a flashing light for the battery.
There is an emergency call button that will automatically call all the phone numbers in the emergency number list - very handy for an older person who is alone at home.
I have been taking the phone out with me, and showing it to various people, and the general view is that it will definitely fill a niche (older people who just want an easy to use, easy to see mobile phone, without all the technical stuff) as long as the price is competitive. I personally just love this natty little phone, and would happily recommend it to my friends.
