Product: Doro th80

I've had the Doro th80 in my home for a long while and should know it well by now, however there has been one problem. I'm never at home. Despite this I really love the Doro th80. It really is the best looking and the clearest telephone I've had since arriving in the UK.

For starters the Doro th80 is very slim – much less than the width of a finger. It's also very light, about the same weight as my mouse. As well as being slim and light, it's sexy. Long, sleek, black along one side, silver on the other and very easy to handle. This is a phone which would look good anywhere.
Setting up the Doro th80 is ridiculously simple. I only had ten minutes to set up this phone before racing out the door which barely gave me time to read the (very short) instruction manual. Luckily I didn't need to. The phone practically set itself up and was charging and ready with time to spare. The huge, black buttons on the front make navigating the phone and dialling numbers easy even with only half your mind on the job. The set up menu and instructions on the th80 are like a setting-up-phones-for-dummies manual.

The nicest thing for me about the Doro th80 is the screen. The Display is beautiful, due to the screen itself being crystal clear and well lit. Of course I've gone on about how attractive this phone is, but how does it sound? Actually it's very clear, which is such a relief considering I live in a city area where most mobile phones struggle for receptivity. Plus being cordless, it blessedly has a nice range from the base before the signal cuts out. I've gone so far as to leave my flat, in order to run down a flight of steps to the front door of my building and still kept an open line. Wonderfull!

As for the functions, it has all the usual; silent mode, mute button, easy access to dialled numbers, keyguard, speakerphone, message waiting and a phone book which can hold up to 200 numbers along with names, extensive ringtone options, ability to link to other handsets and transfer calls between them. Plus it also has an alarm function, and is able to send and receive SMS (if your service provider is willing, which mine is not).

Simply put, the Doro th80 is a very good phone. With its good looks and multi-functions, the th80 is not only be suitable for home use, but small office settings as well. If you're looking for a new phone, I can't think of better than here. I can't think of a bad word to say about it!
