The Moto U9 is the latest addition to the Motorola family. Created with a female audience in mind, the Moto U9 is available in pink and purple with a metallic gloss finish. Its stylish, light and easy to use. In appearance is curvaceous and smooth. Features include an external touch music controls making it easy to access your music catalogue (with headphones), a floating screensaver that appears on the external display, Stereo Bluetooth® and Motorola's CrystalTalk™ technology; which adjusts the audio to help calls are clear in noisy environments. In addition, the Moto U9 provides 25 MB (basically loads) of in-phone user memory and if that wasn't enough, there's also a MicroSD™ memory card that has even more memory storage for music, photos and other media. Oh and it includes a 2.0 megapixel, 8x zoom camera with multi-shot features producing quality, printable images.
Motorola very kindly lent me the Moto U9 in pink to try out in
real life. I loved that it was pink and the design was stylish.
It was light and compact. I particularly liked the floating screensaver
on the external display. It enabled me to screen any calls coming
in without opening up the phone. Once opened, the screen was clear
and the phone was easy to use. Although initially it didn't
pick up the numbers from my SIM card which was frustrating, this
was quickly resolved. I basically turned it off and put it back
on. The calls were clear (and I am always running around outdoors
and the way to tube from the office is on a main road).
In regards to the other features, I was overwhelmed with what was
available and didn't know where to start. The camera was easy
to use and the pictures did come out well. It was amazing that a
little thing that is can take sharp pictures which don't become
distorted like other mobile cameras. Unfortunately as the Moto U9
was on a short term loan, I didn't get to test all the features
as I would have liked.
The funky Moto U9 from Motorola is now available from Vodafone and O2.
